~About the Seasonal Vegetable Box & How to Apply~
We deliver fresh, seasonal vegetables grown without any pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Features of SHO Farm’s Vegetable Box
- Thanks to the mild climate in Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, we can provide vegetables year-round.
- Vegetables are generally harvested on the day of delivery. For mail orders, they are harvested the day before but still delivered with outstanding freshness.
- We grow over 100 kinds of vegetables and wild edible plants annually.
- We also accept add-on orders for seasonal fruits (ume plums, raspberries, lemons, mandarin oranges and other citrus, and several other varieties), free-range eggs, and artisan products (yuzu kosho, fukujinzuke pickles, raspberry jam, harissa sauce, and more).
- Our monthly SHO FARM newsletter shares updates on the fields and our farming philosophy.
- Each delivery includes a list explaining the vegetables and simple recommended cooking methods.
- To preserve freshness, vegetables are carefully packed and delivered in cardboard boxes or eco bags. We primarily use zero-waste packaging, such as newspapers or no packaging at all. In winter, vegetables may be harvested the day before shipping to avoid frost damage.
By subscribing to the vegetable box, you can participate in our effort to create a fair society through the "pay it forward" program. Participation is optional.
Participation in Pay it Forward is entirely voluntary.
